Atma Yoga doco (2008) Part 2 from Sitapati das on Vimeo.. Part Two. Part One can be found here.
Here's my presentation from last night. It was entitled 3 Types of Happiness. Maybe it could be titled: "What makes people happy?"
The last couple of minutes got cut off, but you get all the slides, and you get the idea.
Hey, check this out. This is a way cool documentary that Vrajadhama made about our yoga school, Atma Yoga.
We were talking about this last night, and I think that the experience of watching the video is like coming to Atma. I summarize the experience of most people as: "I came for the yoga, I came back for the food, I stayed for the company".

When, for the first time, you've brought together your new people for a dinner party or small kirtan, discussion and prasadam, they'll probably want more. You can have a few regular meetings and give everyone time to settle down into being a member of something new. After some time there will be an important shift in the consciousness of the members. They will think more of themselves as a 'group of friends' and feel easy in each others company. The nervousness and over-politeness which governed proceedings earlier on will evaporate and the group will feel more comfortable in their new identity.
...This short film, made by a Christian group, illustrates some of the different unhelpful modes of behaviour that are prominent in small groups. Watch and try to translate it into small devotee group situations you may have been in yourself.—Watch Video
The sun was shining on the sea front in Brighton Saturday mid-day, ready for one of the last Ratha-yatras of this year.
As usual I have put together some video clips; the first is the setting up and arrival of the deities and Srila Prabhupada
The second is a small clip of the festival itself
Many times I have heard some say "Why worry and follow these rules strictly when you can pick up and continue were you left off?"
I have also at times found myself thinking along the same lines especially as my mind wonders and I get caught up in emotions, so this class gave me lots to think about and I am sure it would also change many others view point.
Again I have posted it on YouTube here, "Re-Birth, return home to God Head":
About eight years ago I attended a twelve-week 'Alpha Course'—a Christian outreach programme designed by the preacher Nicky Gumbel of the Holy Trinity Church in Brompton, London. There was lots of publicity at the time and there were courses springing up all over the place, as churches throughout Great Britain discovered that good results came from taking a new approach with an old message.
Firstly I must apologies to those who asked me to come and see what they were doing act. Service called and I remained busy up to returning to Wales. I managed to video only two other things other than morning class which I am including in the video archive.
Two from my friend Parasurama Dasa; first some songs he has written:
The second was a wonderful presentation followed by a small discussion, this was totally inspirational and would be useful in the area were I live, which has seen a lot of suicides. I have included a clip of one of the discussions: What would you do if you had one day left to live?
It would be wonderful if the youth could bring this for a weekend I'm sure the local youth were I live would truly benefit from it
Again sorry for the delay in publishing these clips from Bhaktivadanta Manor 2008 Janmastami celebrations. I will edit and post some clips from the morning class over the next few days but hope you enjoy these few postings:
It was with some sweetness that some of Srila Prabhupada’s disciples shared a little bit with us:
Again it is with great pleasure that I can offer to the devotee’s this clip of Cardiff’s Ratha Yatra from 9 August 2008 as usual it is available on youtube here:
This week we had a wonderful class given by Praghosa Das, UK GBC. It gave us many thoughts to ponder, this small point I felt should be shared:
After the filming of the opening of Radharani's Bakery's new shop, Kripamoya Prabhu quietly mentioned that it may appear on the net soon.
Well, after much thought I have decided not to post it!
HA!
For all who want to see the opening of the shop it's available here:
And for a short tour of the facilities you can do here:
I hope as always that these clips meet the needs of the devotee's
Here is a very nice video broadcast on krishna.com live where Mahatama dasa talks about the mood of chanting and how we should be aware of pronounciation and concentration on the sound vibration.
I've been quite busy for the past few weeks (and will continue to be so for a few more), so I haven't been reporting very meticulously about our Climate Change Harinams.
Here is a mashup of photos from the last three weeks, when we visited Kelvin Grove, Windsor, and Wilton. The grainy ones are all from Kelvin Grove.

This is a lovely clip produced by a devotee on YouTube:
Sunday Feast - Sitapati style [Video inside].
Props to Vrajadhama for mixing it up.
Here are the Videos of the recent H.H. Hanumatpresak Swami's class and kirtan at Stanford. [Videos inside]
Modern psychology uses the term 'messianic complex' to describe the phenomenon where individuals claim self-awareness of their proclaimed role as a 'savior'. I find this tendency of lower human nature fascinating.
What makes people convinced that they are 'the chosen one'? Even more interesting are the mechanics behind what makes sometimes large numbers of people convinced that a particular person is the messiah?
Mother Urmula gave a wonderful class this week I always look forward to her classes and the many insights and analogies she uses.
This one is that of a child learning to walk the clip is available on youtube via the link below:
Also some insight on what is Prasadam, it should make you think again the link is below:
I hope these small edited clips are satisfactory and that you get as much out of them as I do.

Every year at Stonehenge there is a summer solstice and so a band of merry devotees lead by HH Mahavisnu Swami headed out to chant the holy names.
So for your viewing pleasure here is a small sample of the night of bliss chanting the holy names of Krisna:
Sri Nrsimha Pranama (Summer solstice 2008)
I hope this captures the amazing time had by all.
While it is normally only considered cliché that "laughter is the best medicine," specific medical theories attribute improved health, increased life expectancy, and overall improved well-being, to laughter.
