This year we brought Vaisesika Prabhu a cow for his birthday. Her name is Karuna Sindhu and she is staying at the Bhaktivedanta Ashram so they are spending some quality time this kartik.

Here's an email we just got from Vaisesika Prabhu all the way from the lotus feet of Giriraj to keep us inspired as we begin another wonderful sankirtan festival.

We were recently blessed with the fortune of having Maharaj's association.

The Sankirtan Festival is in full swing here at ISV, we completed the first weekend of our double header sankirtan festival, and the energy is electric, lots of devotees going out on sankirtan, lots of new devotees going out on sankirtan for the first time, and lots of books going out, and lots of lives being transformed. See for yourself.

Our Bhaktivinode Thakur Sankirtan Festival begins today with a harinam procession in downtown Palo Alto. Here is an excerpt from an email Vaisesika Prabhu sent out to inspire everyone for the upcoming festivities.

It is a really amazing glimpse into the heart of a vaishnava; I am very grateful to be connected to such a wonderful personality.

The Monthly Sankirtan Festival is a program pioneered by Vaisesika Prabhu, the idea is to get everyone in the congregation out on sankirtana, hitting the streets to distribute Srila Prabhupada's books. The MSF kicks off on Friday night with everyone dancing and chanting together chanting the holy names in the streets. Then all day Saturday and Sunday everyone splits up into teams and goes all around the bay area. This program has been so successful that last year Iskcon Silicon Valley came in third in all of North America, with no full time book distributors.
