This is the technique I use for protecting my wedding ring and car key while on harinam and playing the mrdanga. It's a carabiner that I got from Mitre 10, a hardware store.

Vrajadhama das played accordion on this harinam.

Here's the way to make a real change - go to every single suburb in your city and chant the Holy Names! Every town and village. If it has a postcode, if it has a post office, if it has a name - it gets a harinam....
In this fiery and funny talk, New York Times food writer Mark Bittman weighs in on what's wrong with the way we eat now (too much meat, too few plants; too much fast food, too little home cooking), and why it's putting the entire planet at risk.

The unstoppable Climate Change Harinam rolls on...
I have to take a raincheck on the Climate Change Harinam this week.
Param Satya is away doing catering on Stradbroke Island. Prahlad and I are home alone, and I'm preparing to give a presentation at the Sunday Feast. I've had a few other things that I've been working on this week, so I'm behind in that preparation.
However, if you are inspired to go out, here is the next target:

Kalinga—remember when their King had his teeth smashed out by Balaram? Well, this week we're going to give them the benediction of Sri Krishna Sankirtan.

Prem Yogi just before we went out.

Here's me. I'm pretty fatigued at the moment - getting sick, going to Sydney, doing the Bikram challenge and fasting for Janmastami was just a little too much...

This weekend I am in Sydney, and Sunday is Janmastami.
His Holiness Janananda Goswami is in town, and the word is that he is leading harinam in the city on Saturday, starting at Govindas at 11 am.
Call the temple on 3379-5455 to confirm this.
Haribol!
Whether great devotee or direct incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, there is no denying the potency of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. More than 500 years after his appearance in Bengal, India, his instruction to loudly chant the Holy Names of the Lord is being carried out around the world.

Time: 1 pm
Everyone is going down to the farm for the festival in the afternoon, so we'll do an hour or so of harinam in Lutwyche before leaving.
At the moment I am very immersed in my job and all the attendent responsibilities of managing a group. On Friday I had someone hand in their resignation, and I am already hiring to replace someone else.

So what are intelligent responses to our predicament? First, we’ll have to dramatically reorganize the everyday activities of American life. We’ll have to grow our food closer to home, in a manner that will require more human attention. In fact, agriculture needs to return to the center of economic life. We’ll have to restore local economic networks — the very networks that the big-box stores systematically destroyed — made of fine-grained layers of wholesalers, middlemen and retailers.

I'm out of town, but the show must go on. Be there to support the troops. Lord Caitanya's sankirtan must continue - His Name must be heard in every town and village of Brisbane. The mercy must be distributed without discrimination.
The dawning of the golden age - participate in the pastime! :-)

"Only the Hardcore"
Bhata Seean, Sita-pati, Prahlad, and Guruttama.
Param Satya shot this picture but couldn't come with us.
It was a nice walk through a very scenic and bush-like suburb, surprising to find near the city. It's in a bowl so it was quite cool and dank for Brisbane. It reminded me of Titirangi, for those of you who know that.
