This just came into the inbox. If everyone chips in a little then we can help them pay for medical costs.
If you want to use a credit card, or avoid costly international fees, you can make a donation into my PayPal account and, as Gopala is my witness, every penny will go to Braja and Jahnu (except for the small percentage PayPal takes as a transaction fee.)

Good Morning Everyone. All glories to your Service.
I just received an email from Bhadra dd (BTS-Atlanta) notifying me of our godsister, Shyamapriya dd in Alachua, who is in need of some help. Some of you may know her well, having maintained Srila Acaryadeva's tape ministry for years as well as working with the prison ministry program in Florida. As of late, she has had several surgeries for pancreatic cancer and has been undergoing chemo therapy and radiation. Not being able to work and with a 14-year-old daughter, Shyamapriya is struggling financially.
Bhadra Prabhu asked me if I could send out an email asking if anyone might be willing to help her financially. He writes:
Thank you so much for responding and being willing to let your godsisters and brothers know of Mother Shyamapriya' s need. I received an email from her this morning, saying that she is having trouble sleeping and worrying about her financial situation at a time when she is sick and needs to be healing.
I spoke to her this morning and let her know that I had contacted you asking for assistance and it eased her mind a bit.
Here is her phone number: 386-418-8149 . Her email is: Shyamapriya@aol.com.
She has a post office box where anyone can send a donation (and stress that any amount..even $5 could help) that is:

I would like to mention that Syamapriya Mataji (ISKCON Prison Ministry) has been hospitalized on an emergency basis, and I would like to ask for your prayers and requests to the Lord for her prompt recuperation.
Mother Syamapriya has been doing tremendous amounts of selfless work with Krishna consciousness for many years. She had taken a leading role in the IPM ISKCON Prison Ministry. If at all possible, please say a prayer for her health and well-being. Apparently, she has taken to be very ill.
Your servant in Krishna consciousness,
Citraketu dasa

On behalf of Protima and her family I would like to thank Ananda Subramanian Prabhu (IA, USA) and one anonymous vaisnava for donating U$ 100 and U$ 50, respectively. Protima left Mayapur for Vellore, Tamil Nadu, where the Christian Medical College & Hospital, one of India's best known and reputed medical facilities, offers
"Low-cost, but Effective Treatment Wards" for poor patients, among various kinds of specialized and high-tech facilities.
Protima, wife of Sital Biswas, an aspiring disciple of HH Jayapataka Maharaja, lives in a village near Dhamrai, a Upazilla in the discrict of Dhaka, Bangladesh. They own a little land and Sital holds a job as night watchman in a cloths factory, enabling them to get along with their small family.
Recently Protima was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis, tightening of the heart valve controlling blood flow to the main artery; in her case aortic valve replacement surgery is urgently required. While being a fairly routine operation in modern clinics, it's neither trivial nor cheap. In India, the cost is approximately INR. 3,00,000, almost U$ 7,500 at today's exchange rate—far more than the family could hope to raise on their own.
Hare Krishna all!
I would like any advice on running a successful university program. Here in Melbourne, Australia, we do not have a presence at any of the universities and the word from the devotees is they have been 'hard to crack'.
Orientation week for the new students arriving is in a few weeks and, as I am a part time student and can get a free stall from the student union, I would like to use the oppurtunity to run some kind of program.

After joining the International Society for Krishna consciousness (ISKCON) in the early 1970’s, Radhanatha dasa was initiated by Srila Prabhupada in New York in June, 1976 at the age of 21. Since then, he has faithfully served Srila Prabhupada as a sankirtana devotee. After an unsuccessful operation on his neck, contracting tuberculosis, and even after having both of his legs amputated, Radhanatha Prabhu continues to distribute Srila Prabhupada’s transcendental literature from his wheelchair. He presently lives in Southern California (U.S.) and gives books to everyone he meets while selling flowers in order to support himself.
Unfortunately, Radhanatha’s health continues to fail and he is now going blind in one eye. His godbrothers and friends report that he never complains about his situation. In fact, we heard about this incredible devotee after receiving a letter from his dear friend. Radhanatha Prabhu is an extraordinary person, a staunch follower of Srila Prabhupada, and he deserves help from our worldwide devotee community.
By bringing this “saint” to the spotlight, we are hopeful that devotees pledge a monthly donation of $1, $5, $10, $21, $51 etc. or give a one-time donation to help with Radhanatha Prabhu’s living and medical expenses. All donations can be sent directly to Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. so they are tax deductible. You will receive a receipt for your tax purposes. One hundred percent of the money collected will be directly sent on a monthly basis by our V-CARE treasurer to Radhanatha Prabhu.
Please become involved by offering your monthly pledge or send a one-time donation in order to help Radhanatha dasa, a wonderful book distributor and cherished disciple of Srila Prabhupada.

Dear Devotees,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.,
We have already informed you of the difficult situation with the farm community of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in Kazakhstan. The government is endeavouring to evict the devotees from the land lawfully purchased in 1999, as well as their houses and ashramas which accomodate more than 60 devotees.
This persecution started in October 2004 but now the situation reached its critical point.
Yesterday, April 24, 2006 at 10 p.m. the legal executive (court officer) delivered a notification to the members of the community that today, on April 25, at 11 a.m. their ashramas and cottages will be demolished according to the decision of the court.
We ask you to help us in this difficult situation to stop the execution of the unlawful decision of the court regarding the demolition of the ashramas and eviction of the devotees from their homes.

Under the direction of HH BB Govinda Maharaja, GBC for central Asia, the Volga region of Russia, countries of the Middle East and Mauritius, ISKCON is developing a multi-dimensional cultural center on a 50-hectar farm, 40 km from the center of Almaty, the capital of Kazakhstan.

This is the only ISKCON farm community in the whole CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States, ex-USSR, more or less), and since the project began in 1999, it has already become a home for more than 120 members from Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and Russia.
Since 2004 there have been many attempts from the government of Kazakhstan, which has repeatedly been criticised for it's treatment of religious minorities by international human-rights organisations, to evict ISKCON from this property – without paying compensation, of course.
