Schoolchildren in Malaysia celebrating the month of Damodara, 2006 (Article: Damodara Report).
Some of you might have read how the devotees in Malaysia optimized the opportunities afforded by the month of Damodara (Kartika). HH Jayapataka Maharaja was telling me that the Purusottama month (appearing this year but not every year) possesses similar glories. Such specialty makes it easier for people—especially of Indian origin, but not necessarily only them—to accept devotees in their homes for short propitious programs for bringing auspiciousness and positive vibrations. (Many members of the community can manage, with a little training, to conduct a successful visit.)
A thirty- to sixty-minute visit might include chanting, explaining the glories of the month, and some basic philosophy. People could become attracted to the basic principles of spiritual life in the attempt to catch the "special sale" of mercy.
Purusottama-masa begins (in Mayapur) on 17 May 2007.
We invite our panditas to share some of the glories of Purusottama-masa, to entice the public to associate with devotees during this time.

This is working out a lot in most of the places . Especially people of Indian origin. They like festivals, deity centered programs. In this process whole family can participate, brings family together and also whole society. Lord in the deity form is the merciful form for the conditional souls , everybody gets the chance to serve. All glories to Acaryas who gave this process everyone to serve Krishna or Visnu to purify from the material contaminations.
