The use of Yeast

At the start of the visit by HH Mahavishnu Swami I decided to treat him to some home made traditional bread just right for sandwiches and toast, using the traditional UK methods of making a loaf.
This was very much appreciated but for one thing, I had used yeast the question asked was why? Did I [...]

I Not Going To Jury Duty Columbus Day

I ended up being picked for the jury, which surprised me for reasons I will get into later. We are not supposed to talk about the trial but I think saying I was picked for the actual jury would  be okay.  We heard two days of testimony and have to come back Tuesday, Monday being a holiday, a federal holiday so the courthouse is closed, even if the premise of the holiday is completely flawed.

I didn't start out on 66 bpm with triplets - and neither should you. The 66 bpm practice of that mantra is just what I'm doing at the moment. The post is as much inspirational as it is instructional. The main point is - practice with a metronome.

JS Mill on Marriage

Ever wonder why in the well-established liberal democracies all over the world the institution of marriage tends to be in shambles? Here's what John Stuart Mill, one of modern liberalism's foundational thinkers, has to say about it:
